Calendula Infused Oil

Calendula Oil

Use for skin issues. Bumps, scrapes, eczema, dermatitis, or rash. Also great for promoting youthful skin. Add to salves, lotions or apply it straight.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Handful Calendula Flowers
  • 1 Glass Jar
  • Organic Olive Oil

Method
 

  1. Fill a glass jar 2/3 of the way full with dried or wilted flower.
  2. *If you are using fresh flowers, allow them to wilt for at leasr 12 hours or dry completely before submerging in oil. This will ensure that bacterial growth isn't encouraged with moisture from the flowers.
  3. Cover in organic olive oil, at least 1" above the flowers in the jar.
  4. Place jar in a sunny, warm window to allow it to infuse more quickly in 2-4 weeks.
  5. Make sure to shake the jar daily so that all the flowers are covered in oil.
  6. After its infused, drain off the oil and store in a cool, dark place. Make sure you include the infusion date and when it was strained, so you know what you have and when you made it.
