Jewel weed Infused Oil

Jewel Weed Oil

Use on skin irritation, especialy poison ivy or poison oak.

Ingredients
  

  • Fresh or Dried Jewel Weed
  • Olive Oil organic

Method
 

  1. Cover at least 1" above chopped jewel weed in a glass jar.
  2. In a double broiler, or water bath – place jar in warm water on low heat over stove. Make sure the glass jar doesn't touch the bottom of the pot directly. Place a dish rag or canning rack under it.
  3. Allow it to warm through and simmer for 2-3 hours.
  4. Remove jar from heat and allow it to cool before straining.
  5. Store in a cool, dark place. Make sure to put the date and contents on the jar.

Notes

Note: You can find Jewel weed in boggy, wet weather draws in the US.
It often grows near poison ivy and poison oak.
