Easy Pit Paste

3 Food Grade, pronounceable and recognizable ingredients for your pits!
Course: bath and body, deodorant, skin care
Keyword: deodorant
Yield: 5 ounces (volume)

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 pair of hands to 'knead the dough'
  • 1 jar See notes for link to jar

Materials

  • 1/4 cup arrowroot powder helps with dryness, silky proactive barrier
  • 1/4 cup baking soda help with deodorizing and neutralizing bacteria that cause odor
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil not fractioned or MCT, just naturally refined – in it's whole form
  • 2-4 TBSP cornstarch Add more or less, until you get the right consistency for you.

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients together and work with your hands into a pastry-like consistency.
  • store in an airtight container at room temperature.
  • Optional* Add 4 -6 drops of your favorite essential oil. I love using 4 drop patchouli and 4 drops of lime.

I include my favorite essential oils in the link above!
NOTE: Baking soda irritates EXFOLIATED or sensitive skin. If you shave regularly, you could be bothered by the baking soda. If you choose to go more au natural and maintain skin integrity by not shaving as frequently, it should not bother you.
